Living With Cancer Support Group

This support group offers a comfortable place to talk about your experiences with others living with cancer. Group members can share feelings and experiences that may seem too awkward or too difficult to share with family and friends. Participation is free of charge and the group is open to new participants. To join, email admin@cancersupportsonoma.org or just drop in. Meetings are on Thursdays 9:30 - 11:00 am at Cancer Support Sonoma. The 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month are facilitated by Becky Parrinella, LPCC.

Caregivers Support Group

This support group allows space for the loved ones and caregivers of those facing a cancer diagnosis to share their own challenges, express their feelings and find support from one another. Participation is free of charge and the group is open to new participants. To join, email admin@cancersupportsonoma.org or just drop in. The group meets every other Wednesday, 5:45 - 6:45 pm at Cancer Support Sonoma and is facilitated by Ken Blackwood

Group Sessions

Oncology Yoga

Join certified Yoga Instructor and Oncology Yoga Specialist, Susan O’Toole, for a 75 minute yoga session specifically for CSS clients and their caregivers. Susan will show you how the practice of yoga and mindfulness can help reduce many side effects of cancer treatments. The cost per session is $15. Call 707-509-3549, email admin@cancersupportsonoma.org or book online here. The class is held each Monday from 3:00-4:15pm and each Wednesday from 4:00-5:15pm.

Community Acupuncture

Affordable acupuncture in a group setting. Open to all! Everyone is welcome including CSS clients, caregivers, friends & family and all other community members. Drop in, call 707-509-3549, email navigator@cancersupportsonoma.org or book an appointment online here. Cost per session $50 ($35 for CSS clients). The 40-minute sessions are provided by Alison Kelly, LAc and offered weekly on Mondays from 11:00am-2:00pm & Saturdays 10am-1pm. Read more about community acupuncture here.

Sound Bath

A sound bath offers the soothing power of a deeply immersive, full-body listening experience designed to bring the participant into a harmonious state. The sound resonating from Crystal Singing bowls is not just heard, but felt, as vibrations penetrate down to the cellular level, nurturing the body, mind and spirit. The cost per session is $15.
